Ablade Glover’s work reveals his passion for life and for people, through his iconic paintings of markets, brightly clothed crowds and women. Throughout his long and distinguished career, Glover used his pallet knife and warm pigments to express the movement and heat of African cities, animated landscapes, and people, to reflect the abundant diversity of Africa. Glover studied art in Newcastle, UK, and the U.S, before becoming a Professor at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana.
Ablade Glover’s work can be found in numerous collections worldwide, including at the Imperial Palace Collection, Tokyo, Japan; UNESCO Headquarters, Paris, France; and Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, Chicago, USA. Glover has exhibited extensively in West Africa; Europe; the USA; and he is Founder and Director of the internationally acclaimed Artists Alliance Gallery in Accra, Ghana.
