Sadek Rahim is a multidisciplinary artist, using drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, photography, or video in his projects. In the 90s, he traveled and lived in Syria and Jordan, before starting his studies at school des Beaux-Arts in Beirut (Lebanon), then at the prestigious Saint Martin’s School of Arts and Design in London from which he graduated. Since 2004, he has chosen to live and work in Algeria, while developing an international career.
Sadek exhibits all over the world, in Algeria (at MAMA, ZABANA, MAMO), but also in the United Arab Emirates (Art Dubaï, Alserkal Foundation), in France (Nuit Blanche in Paris, Musée de Montparnasse, Abbaye de Maubuisson), in Korea (Busan Musée d'Art Contemporain, Seoul), Canada, Spain, Argentina, Germany, Great Britain (Mosaic Rooms, Oxford House, London), Lebanon, Slovakia, Tunisia, Morocco, Senegal (Biennale de Dakar, Saint-Louis), and the United States (Wallach Art Gallery, New-York). His works are held in many private collections around the world including the Zinsou Foundation, in Benin, and the National Museum of Constantine, in Algeria.
