Nigeria
(Born in 1964, Nigeria. Lives and works in Lagos, Nigeria.)
Yomi Momoh has worked as both a sculptor and painter. His style is unmistakable, relying on simplicity in form and colour to create strong visual images of everyday Nigeria. He has become a painter and sculptor of wistful Nigerian landscapes and people. The easy innocence of his scenes provide a backdrop for the exploration of the cultures and people he comes in contact with daily.
His works are widely exhibited within and outside Nigeria.
