Zemba Luzamba’s oil paintings depict mostly middle-class Africans and migrants engaged in religious ceremony’s, leisure activities, or in political scenarios. Luzamba is a contemporary realist, and his paintings are imbued with a sense of satire, mimicking post-colonial elites and political structures in Africa.
He has participated in numerous solo exhibitions worldwide and his work is housed in private collections across the globe, including in South Africa, Italy, and America. His works are among collections held with Nando’s Southern Africa collection.
